ANDREW ROBERTSON BIO

Andrew got his first taste of filmmaking at the age of 12 filming a litany of low-budget horror films culminating in his trilogy opus , 1985's Totally Demented 1 - 3.

He moved to NYC after spending post-collegiate year abroad filming a documentary about his experiences as an English teacher in South

Korea and began freelancing as a Field Producer, shooting projects for MTV and the Travel Channel. In 2003, he helped launch MTV’s popular series Made shooting the first episode following the successful pilot.

In 2004, Andrew came to Wieden+Kennedy to work on the film adaptation of an ad campaign known as The Beta-7 Experience. A noirish docu-drama, The Beta-7 Experience helped launch Sega’s best selling videogame ESPN Football. The film represented W+K at the 2004 ONE Show, which went on to win the ONE Show Award for innovation.

He has since gone on to help build Joint NY, Wieden New York's own Production/Post-Production studio. Acting as senior editor, he has taken over lead editorial on ESPN's award winning Sportscenter ad campaign, as well as editorial on dozens of spots ranging from Nike to the MS Society.

As a director, Andrew's projects have included the cinema spot Behind the Scenes with Shawn White, ESPN’s The Making of Believe, NIKE’s soccer documentary Ironbound, and a research documentary for the fashion brand Theory.

In addition, Andrew has written and edited for the Travel Channel series 5-Takes: Europe and field produced for MTV's long running series Made. He continues writing and directing his own short films and is currently producing his own documentary about a Sci-Fi inspired religious cult called the Raelians in his forthcoming Welcome to the Raelian Revolution. His latest production, of which he is most proud, is his brand new beautiful baby girl Sofia-Nour, born in the Spring of ‘07.
